Coming Soon: Photos from The White House
Words cannot described how honoured I am to be given the opportunity to photograph The White House in Washington on Thursday March 10th, 2016 at.
To the right is an invite I received in my inbox on Sunday February 28th from President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama (Probably the best invitation I have ever received - sorry to all my friends who will be getting married over the next few years!).
Not only will I be in the presence of one of the greatest Presidents of our time - but will also be witnessing our new Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, visit The White House for his first time as Prime Minister.
People keep asking me, What are you most excited about when you get to the South Lawn at the White House on Thursday? My answer? Snapping the perfect moment and then putting the camera down and truly taking it all in. When moments like this happen it is important to not always be looking through the view finder of your camera or on the screen of your iPhone, but to look around and experience what is happening around you.
The stage will be set like the photo below...
Canadian & America flags, two of the world's most recognized leaders, one of the most beautiful and historic houses in the entire world, hundreds of Canadians and Americans on hand and me - with my camera and my own eyes taking in the entire moment from within arm's reach.
Wednesday morning Alexander Marshall (Owner of George Briggs Media) and I will be flying out of Billy Bishop Airport in Toronto thanks to Porter Airlines and will spend the whole day prepping for Thursday morning. We'll also be filming the entire trip and plan on putting out a documentary style video when we return.
If all else goes to plan I will also be having my first ever photography show, with part of the proceeds of the sales of the photos going Syrian Refugee families that have recently arrived in Canada. If you or anyone knows a family - please put them in touch with me here.
If you'd like to follow along with me on Thursday you can do the following ways:

- Stream the event live from The White House.
- Follow my friend Alexander Marshall who will be joining me on the trip to film/ document the experience. Here are his Twitter & Instagram.
- Check back here on my blog on Friday March 11th.
I can't wait to share all of these memories with you this week. Thank you to everyone for their continued support. See you from the White House on Thursday!
